Thanks for the info! The mill finish sounds interesting; I'll have the
buyer at my LBS give them a call.

Hey Tony,
There is a way to get some non-polished silver action on just about any
Velocity rim, but you'll have to ask them. As a shop owner, I've asked to
have rims left with their "mill finish" which, while not true ano, has a
very classy look in it's own right. I have some raw Atlas rims on
I agree, Brett. I ran the 700x50 Cazadero tubeless on the Ti Fargo that I
built last year until I switched to the 2.25 Maxxis Ikon when I had a Blunt
SS wheelset built a few months ago. I want to have a silver tubeless
wheelset built for my Atlantis so I can swap the 700x42 Cazaderos for the

Tony, if you're looking for a dirt oriented but pavement capable tire in
700x50, I've got nothing but good things to say about the Soma Cazadero.
I've only had mine on my new Atlantis for a few weeks, but thus far they've
performed great on gravel, loaded and unloaded, and well on pavement.

Beautiful bike, James! Your wheelset would be perfect for my Atlantis.
Maybe next year?
I wish Velocity would offer their Quill and Cliffhanger in a silver
anodized option; the polished silver costs more than I'm willing to spend.

the whole time.
Then I read your post, and checked my actual saddle to drop height. Turns

saddle height. Oops!
Like you, I have two differe

Hey Bob, glad you got that saddle up. My saddle is good, height wise, but
dirt drop bars are meant to be predominately ridden in the drops, and as
such, I like the drop portion just a little below the saddle height. The
tops are really high, for sure, but that's fine for casual chats and down

Nice bike/build. I like how flared the handlebars are, and the subtle color
touches on the Paul brakes. As a proud Sam H owner myself, I know how
versatile they can be.
I, too, started with handlebars 2 inches above my saddle. Then, on Rivelo's
2nd Anniversary Ride (2017), a gentleman suggeste
Love the build! Proper dirt drop saddle to bar height!
