Bill,
i have this 'problem' now, and it's more aesthetic, if you put anything in
the trunksack it keeps the shape. sometimes if i'm lazy, zipping it up can
catch without the tombstone holding the shape, minor things...

The only bummer I can see is that losing the tombstone means you lose some
stability when you run a trunksack. I'm not sure how many people run
trunksacks anymore though.

Jeremy, I'm curious whether it is narrow at the top like a Tubus rack,
which brings the pannier load in closer to center.

No official comment on these, but from observations the main differences
seem to be:
-second, triangle-reinforced pannier mounting rail that is lower than the
deck, which, as doug points out, facilitates access to panniers if you also
have something loaded on the top of the rack.
-lower or n

These look great, but as someone that's been around RBW for a long time, i
wish they would name the racks so we know it's the newest version. It
doesn't affect RBW much since they don't sell the old versions but other
vendors do and they show up on the second-hand market a lot. It get's

These racks look great, I saw them in person and really liked the large. I
wasn't patient enough and went with the V.O. Campeur rack. The V.O. Is nice but
the Nitto looks much more solid.
I wish I would have waited but I'm trying to dial in the bike for a short
tour down coast and I couldn't

Has there been a Blug comment on these, and what's new/different about

The previous Nitto racks without the lower pannier rail is what caused me
to buy a Tubus rack. I would have bought the new Nitto rack when in the
market for one. I was buying in 2011. I am invested in my Tubus now. If
I am ever in the market for a new one. I will get this update.

Woo Hoo! New & improved. I've got both a Nitto & a Tubus with the lower
pannier rails and that is a significant improvement, at least for those of
us who like to overload racks. If you've ever gotten crazy trying to load
or unload a rack with panniers & something on the platform, and felt lik
