Gotta agree here. Switching from the Pasela 35 to the Supreme 40 on
the Hillborne was a big difference. At first I though the tires were
a touch slower. But my overall riding times since putting them on
have been the same. Or (dare I say it), even a touch faster.

I see that Schwalbe has the Marathon Racer in 700x38. Lighter by a
slim margin than the Supreme 700x35. (430g compared to 440g). Sounds
like a fun tire. I'm pretty happy with the Supremes at the moment, but
haven't found them to be "bulletproof", exactly.
