Tried the Soma New Xpress tires tonight at 60psi (they say 90 max), and they were pretty nice. Back tire wasn't going all super-squish even at the relatively low pressure. I purposely ran over a lot of rough stuff and they soaked it up much better than the 38c Marathon Greenguards I was running

I prefer the fluted metal fenders and the Marathons that are on there. That said, I think you should buy any and every pair of tires that catch your eye. Of the 6 bikes I currently have (7 if you include the tandem), all but one of them have multiple tire options on the shelf. I virtually ne

Simple cheap vernier calipers can be got at your hardware store for much less than $10. You'll use them constantly. On Wednesday, August 22, 2012 10:32:42 AM UTC-7, Scot Brooks wrote: > > Pudge, > I don't have an accurate way to measure them, but I just put a set on my > SH last night. Defini

Pudge, I don't have an accurate way to measure them, but I just put a set on my SH last night. Definitely noticeably smaller and lighter (folding bead, so it makes sense) than the 38 marathons, but bigger than the 35 marathon racers I have. I'll ride the bike tonight and let you know how they fe
