I saw a ton of these hydro linear pull brakes in Germany last year on a visit
and some to a bike shop about them. Definitely commonplace and there didn't
seem to be any concerns about failure at least in a touring it commuting setup.
The same shop was also fairly dismissive about the need for
@Joe
It's not so much the line breaking mid-hill. It is the lack of being able to
repair a misshap while on tour. A line could get cut or broken for a number of
different reasons and likeky never when actually being ridden. A new line and
the right oil woukd be hard to find most places and blee
We sail down mountains with tiny slivers of metal clamped by a little bolt for
brakes. I don't think a hydraulic line busting is high on the list of braking
worries.

A bike tourist who came through town was riding his, heading for the west

When I was cycle touring in Colombia, I met a Belgian couple with Magura
hydraulic V brakes on their bikes. I questioned the husband about the logic of
hydraulics on V brakes and he claimed they were superb. Easy to modulate, very
sure and required little to know hand strength to brake violently

What is an "anti break"?? Now if you were trying to write
/cantilever brakes/ and lost a few letters along the way, that might
make sense.
Perhaps helps with find

Yeah, no kidding. And here I thought I was being lavish with a custom
framebag and a dynamo system. I haven't seen too many rohloff'd Rivs, and
looking at the mounting system required, I can see why.
