I'm glad to see this thread alive again! I ended up getting a different version
of a mirror for a basket mount. Here's a link to the picture:

Thanks for the pics. I've seen the mirror mounted on the head tube like
that. The basket seems like a better way to go since it gets the mirror
further out.

my basket to see if I would like it there. I figured I'd find a more
elegant solution if it worked well. That was a thousand miles ago and it's

I have one mounted on the basket on my Sam. I just put a small PVC
coupling in the basket so it had something round to attach to. I can view
it well from any hand position on my noodle bars. It gets in the way once
in a while but I expect that would be the case anywhere it was mounted.
