Beautiful memories! It is amazing getting time with my kids in the remote
quiet. Their wonderful energy has places to go and doesn't overload my
brain and end my day after 3.5 minutes like it does at home.

Yeah, we see the slow recovery from the Haymen Fire in '02. When they burn
that big and hot, it really takes decades compared with the smaller, less
volatile fires that are supposed to happen more frequently if we don't over
manage our forests. Not that I have an opinion on the matter. Sardonic
Glad "your" spot was unburned. The devastation left behind a forest fire is
amazing, but the recovery might be more so.
