I bought a wheelset on ebay through "Make an Offer" and saved a couple
hundred off the asking, so definitely worth the try!

I really appreciate this advice on making an offer! I've been trying to
decide where to come in on this one. Ha! Though maybe I really will. Who
knows?

Agree. It is 'or best offer'. So maybe this seller knows that $1750 is a
stretch. Since he wants an extremely cheap $40 for shipping, I agree that
if somebody offered <$1460 and got it, they'd be getting a deal.

Good point(s)! I don't pay more than around 50% of retail for used
bikes/parts, but this one falls in between the cracks. "New" condition, but
it's not retail, so it's "used." $1,500 and maybe free shipping would be
spot on???

It is my size, but I think if I had the $1750, I'd buy one from Riv for
$2000 and pick my own color (and get $100 back on my next invoice)
