In my brief email conversation with him I gathered that he finds the need to withdraw from public discussion and spend more time alone; at least, he has done this once or twice before with this list. So perhaps he will come back again. I miss his photos especially. Deacon *we're talking about you!

I seem to remember Patrick’s advocacy of Homeopathy causing a stir among members. I don’t think there was any specific incident that lead to him dropping off but I’m not so much in the know. From what I gather Patrick has a full life outside of this list and made the choice to stop participating

It is a great photo. Most of us (me included) who ride solo much of the time are resigned to taking photos of our inanimate bikes leaning up against things. DP manages some great action shots. One can only assume the use of a tripod and maybe time-lapse photography? A simple camera timer might
