All 12 Steve. If you use the SunRace cassette or the lower end SRAM NX
cassette. The Shimano 12sp is a new hub to cassette interface. So is SRAM’s GX,
XX1 and all others higher than NX - they use xd.

You can fit a 12 speed cassette on a 7 speed freehub? How many out of
the 12 do you use?

On a 7/8/9 you can also use 12 speed Sunrace cassettes. I would skip 11 and go
to 12 if buying today. Depending on what you ride and how much you really need
either the low end 50 cog or the tightly spaced gears I’d actually go 10 as
it’s becoming the de facto “not cutting edge” standar
Gabe, can you send a pic or link of the cranks you're looking at? I should be
able to determine the bottom bracket situation if I see them.
Eric, the "loose chain" situation doesn't apply for those 1x narrow-wide
chainrings. I can use an 8-speed chain on the ring I pictured.

I have bought XD2 cranks (with crown logo) from sellers other than Riv, and
you can find them sold elsewhere. I don't believe Riv has an exclusive on
them.

Yep, you guys got it as far as I can tell . Yes it's the same crank arms
with OEM rings . The arms themselves are called XD(or XD2), when sold as
complete unit of Al rings in 46/36/26, then the 600 is added to the name,
and called the 300 if the middle ring is steel. It's called the 500

It's different because that picture is mistakingly for the 152mm version,
which uses 50/36/24 rings. Also, If you look at the end of the arm around
the pedal area, it's slightly different(not as rounded) than the 160mm+
versions. The 152mm version uses a slightly different mold. I have 175's

I recently saw this same question posed somewhere else and someone
responded that it was their understanding that RBW's XD-2 was a crankset
they actually put together themselves from individual parts. I have no
idea if this is true but I did notice very early on that the XD-2 seems to

Oh yeah, and the black and raspberry SUGINO sticker label is on the small
ring of the 600, and the middle ring of the XD2

There seem to be variations of Sugino cranks with similar names. The
variety comes in the chainrings, some with ramps'n'pins (like your
example), some with steel grannys, some with steel middles and /or outers.
Another variation is tooth counts: 24/36/46; 26/36/46; 24/36/48. No huge
