I've run 8cm or 9cm stems on most every drop bar (Favorite is Noodles) bike I've owned (10+). I have never regretted moving the bars closer or higher. I have not noticed handling differences when switching from 9 to 8. I do think the 9 looks better but I will still use a 8cm without regret on 57

A while ago, I brought the AHH bars 10 mm's closer while running Noodles. Mostly to match what I realized was an unintentional difference with the Quickbeam setup. At the time, I remember feeling like that difference should not have mattered, but it was the final tweak to the AHH setup which

Not an 8, but I use a 6cm extension on my Sam with Noodles and its been really great so far. The stock 8 was too long feeling for me. Don't be afraid to go short. You can also rotate your brake levers up the ramps a little to get the hoods a cm or two closer in reach. -- You received this mes
