+1 for the Surly hanger. I've got one on my Soma San Marcos pulling Paul Racers and another on my wife's Clem pulling some vintage XT cantilevers. They're nice and long (I think maybe even the longest rear hanger on the market) to give you a more gentle cable arc. They work a treat, and at ~$10
