Those IRD shifters look sweet, but $160?!? For that kind of scratch I'd save some money and hunt up a vintage pair of old XT's unless you need 9 speed indexed - and in that case you could also go bar-ends on Paul Thumbies. The less cogs you run in the rear, the cheaper you can get the bar-ends for,
