Angus: Yours looks same as mine except mine has the braces at the top. I really can't see a Nitto flexing much in the plane the braces are bracing. Some of the racks on the Riv site have a more elegant curve at the bottom, where they fasten to the drop out. Much nicer than the squared off shap

Doug, I have an "older" Nitto Campee rear rack http://www.flickr.com/photos/16951...@n08/2841844222/in/set-72157616858409913/ I believe the triangular braces were added recently. There was some material in the RR a while ago about trusses (bridges) and triangles being a good structural shape.

Of course I had to check out the Atlantis photos, and noticed something that may be of interest to the rack conscious. Look at the various silver rear racks. The all appear to be Nitto (quite similar construction) BUT have subtle variations. For instance, the one on the 6th photo down is quite
