Hi all, switching things around up for sale is an older Nitto Big Front
Rack, this is without the triangulation and without the extra mounting
holes at the bottom. I used this on a 56cm Hillborne--which worked well
because this rack has extra eyelets so i could mount the rack and my

Hi all, i've got some Honjo Fenders waiting to be swapped out on my
Hillborne. Currently i'm running VO fenders with a Nitto BFR (the big rack
on the little one). These racks do not have a boss on the underside to
secure a fender. Has anyone come up with a creative way to secure this?

If everything is clamped down tight, then that should hold. Nitto (and
Riv) hardware is plenty strong. And 1 cm of clearance should be plenty.
However, that seems sub-optimal, for the reasons you already supposed. I
think it would be better to use the upper eyelets on the front. If you

Hey,
I'm new here, but this group has already been a great resource. I've been
building up my new hunqapillar, and have come to front rack attachment. I've

I finally got a lovely Nitto R34 yesterday. I noticed the placement of the top
attachment point is a little weird when mounting to the Sam's fork; it doesn't
really come close to the eyelets so I have to use the p-clamps instead.
However, I've seen photos from Renaissance Bicycles on Flickr that
My Nitto big front (size for a 559 wheel Atlantis) does have a tapped
hole for fender mounting.
