You might need a White Eccentric ENO hub.
I ride 40x15 by preference on the Quickbeam, with a dingle cog for 40x21 or
32x21 when I have a second ring.

David - you have me looking at bikes. I have been riding 40x16 for close to
a year. I shift every few months to make sure the RD still works, but those
other gears never get used. Bob (I almost bought a Simpleone) Indianapolis

Ain't climbing on a singlespeed (or close thereto) fun? It's one of my
favorite parts of cycling (short hills, be it understood). And you adapt so
amazingly to using a single gear on vastly different terrains.
Climbing in a 60" gear (40/18X27") is a great experience.

About 25 miles. Bit of climbing, long, mild descent, some flatish
singletrack. My favorite Saturday morning loop in other words!
And I must say, the Quickbeam performed FLAWLESSLY. Up the hills

Glad to hear you are enjoying the bike. It will serve you well. The bar tape is
the standard black cork tape RBW sells. It just has a lot of sweat and Shell

What a pretty orange! Young man at bike shop yesterday said he was ordering
a Cross Check in one of the only two colors available, in his case black,
and having the frameset powdercoated orange. I inwardly winced, but if it
is anything like your QB's orange, it will be a beauty.

It's always been one of those itches you just can't scratch... finally

I think I still need some sort of dirt-bomb type bike, then, just
maybe, I will have all the bikes I need. Although a folder would be
cool. Maybe double squish 29er. Maybe a full on drop-bar 29er as well.

Congrats, and I hope you enjoy it like crazy. My AHH and my QB are quite
satisfying.
(But I'd still like to have a knobby-shod Hunq.)
