Indeed, it'll be a pretty long wait. Looks like the colors are going to be
RBW Orange and Blue Silver this time around after talking to their team.

I don't think there are any Roadinis coming in until 2023 based on what
their one email newsletter said.

I hope Roadini's aren't this difficult to get. I have parts laying around
for the Roadini and I'm thinking I'll give it a shot. If I can't grab one
or find one used, I'll opt for the Roadeo.

I think that, coupled with the bike boom in general, interest in Rivs has
grown exponentially into a somewhat more mainstream "alt" bike world
through social media and complimentary brands like Crust, Simworks etc.
Hopefully it plateaus at a sustainable height at some point.

I remember when we received the first batch of Quickbeams. The green ones.
They sold out pretty fast. Not in two minutes, but maybe in two weeks.
So we ordered another 100, and the second stack languished for a long time,
piled in the middle of what is now the showroom. They eventually sold.

I know of people who regularly purchase 'Limited/Collectible' stuff online.
You have your cart ready (as much as you can) have paypal ready in your
browser with quickpay or whatever. Refresh page constantly from a minute

Are some purchasers using bots? Is that a possibility?

When I looked at 12:10 pst the only size left was 64 in both colors (don't
know how many frames). 15 minutes later there was ONE blue 64!

I watched my time go from 1:59 cst to 2:00 refreshed my page was already
logged in put a 59 lime olive into my cart went to pay and, sold out.
Really talking like 30 seconds if that, crazy, guess it wasn’t meant to be.
Curious how much quicker you had to be and how?

That might be true. I know that there were 45 frames and there will be 99
completes so the odds are a little higher for the potential buyer. I am
shocked that they sold out that fast. Was the entire shipment sold out
that quickly or just some sizes and colors. I do see there is still a large

I think the completes will sell out just as fast except for the largest
size. The bike market has been forever changed because of the pandemic. It
is going to take 5 years for the supply chain to adjust to a 10% increase
in world wide demand.

The completes are in September. They might be an easier grab than just the
frame. Maybe you can grab one and swap parts and sell whatever is extra? It
is such a crazy market. I know that Rivendell doesn't like it any more than
we do.

For the record, I am holding out for a miracle. No parts are up for grabs
yet. It would be a Velocity wheel set, Silver crank, silver deore 9sp RD,
and a cassette for now.

I immediately called Riv in shock. I was to the second and I just can't
believe the cart doesn't hold an item for 20 seconds to finalize. I also
called some dealers and was told that no dealer has any. I would love to be
proved wrong. The second issue is it seems dealers only will sell if you do
Andrew, call the dealers!!!

Truly unbelievable. Gone in less than a minute I think. I so badly wanted a
lime olive and had it in cart to the last button click, then poof. Gone.
If anyone is sourcing parts I have a nice heap that seem to be useless now.
Really hoping for a miracle. Let me know if you bought one and change y
I fell in love with my blue Clem all over again when I took it on vacation
and rode it all over the north. It’s just such a good bike. So comfortable
and stretched out. I do love a Platypus, that’s for sure, but the Clem is
just special in its own right. I hope the changes made were good ones (t
I have the following rim braked 650B Rivendells:
1. Custom,
2. small Hubbuhubbuh,
3. 52 Bombadil,
4. 52 Clementine,
5. Rosco Bubbe Medium Mountain Mixte,
6. medium Rosco Baby
7. Keven's Cargo Bike.
They use a mix of VO, Velocity Quill, Velocity Atlas, Velocity Cliffhanger,
and Alex
Maybe eventually, but there's a ton of Riv models running them and they
sell the wheels. My custom and Susie are rim-brake 650B.
