Another note about bedrock classic (non cairn). They are basically paper thin
and easy to roll up. great/small/easy to carry on a trip or tour where you’ll
primarily be wearing shoes but want a sandal alternative for some parts.

Beyond bone damage the reason most folks end up needing arch support and the
like to compensate for weak or unbalanced feet. Get flat shoes to start with,
then move to thinner soles and your feet will repay you. On and off the bike.
