I don't see a problem chopping them down a bit; I haven't chopped mine (though
I might), but i did lopp approx. 3/8" off my steel Albatross bars, no issues.

I did; trim-to-length, works for me! Just be aware that only the last
couple inches are reamed out for BES.
Actually, am no longer using my Boscos and happy to move 'em on -
they're alloy and in overall good shape, and I can verify the
(modified) width tonight. Call em $80 shipped? Ant gets first
has anyone tried this? do you have photos of your endeavor? over-all
feelings?
i've tried the Bosco's on 2 different bikes and ended up going with
something else. Mostly because I felt they came back too much. Now I'm
trying to get a nice-lookin' (preferably Nitto) bar that's got quite a bit
o
