Were you using the included bottom bracket? Newer bottom brackets tend to be
shorter because cranks are shaped differently. The bb that shipped on my wife's

Yes, you will need another bottom bracket with longer spindle or just a longer
spindle if it is replaceable (not likely). I'm sure that more knowledgable

Soo... continuing in my Clem build project, as I was installing my vintage
sugino gp crank set with 165mm arms, I hit the chain stay with the chain ring.
I was upset at scratching the chain stay, but I'm set on having this bike for
the long haul, so it will get scratched. (But THIS early?).
