Am I missing something about these? When you up-shift you push with the
thumb which is intuitive but how about when you are down shifting? Do you
have to take your hand off and twist it? Thanks

I noticed that the Hillborne does not have any shifter bosses. Did Grant
ever give a reason for this? I guess it's not a big deal, just curious.

Thanks for the insight, I am curious because I will be receiving a San
Marcos next week. My current frame is straight TT and the SM is slightly
angled, looks to be a little less then the Hillborne. Will let you know how
it fits.

I tried friction for awhile with the Silver shifter and I got to the point
where I could shift perfectly about 98% of the time. I switched to Shimano
bar-cons for a test and to be honest can not see myself going back to
friction. They work really well and when they are get out of whack I can
I purchased one but don't expect to receive it until the end of September.

Well I ordered a Yves Gomez in a 62, Im having it done in a brown
color with creamed head tube similar to the mountain mixte Riv posted
