I've had one for five years now, fantastic practical machine. I use it all
the time, mostly commuting to work, sometimes to the gym and then meeting
the family in the park after.. any excuse really.

Great write up! I'll be building a lugged one up myself later in the year.

That is so well thought out, so satisfying to see it go from a cardboard
box to a real life bag!

I'm 6ft2 and have a 60cm Appaloosa which is fairly similar to a 59cm
Atlantis. I have 48cm Noodle bars on a 5cm Technomic stem on it and have
happily ridden 100mile days on it.
Far be it from me to advise anyone on sizing, but I think if you're dead
set on drops the size down would be better
I have Dia Compe long reachers on my Homer, I think they're for all intents
and purposes the same as the R559, have Kool Stop pads on them too.
I find them pretty good, I think for any major upgrade to the performance
you'd have to go to the Paul Racer which are a pretty penny.

I used to race bikes, I still watch bike racing, I may even go back to bike
racing when my kids are older, it makes me happy.
I don't own any race bikes anymore. I have two, hopefully later this year
three, Rivendells, they make me happy.
If your bike makes you happy it's a great, relevant, won
ke? Any fun

I have a couple of merino t-shirts from a local brand here in Ireland that
I wear all through the summer or at least until the temps really start to
drop.
I love the feel of it, so easy and breezy.

We have an Urban Arrow, I can honestly say it's the best money I've ever
spent on a bike. We use it pretty much every day.

With my Joe Appaloosa I'm satisfied with it at the moment, nothing I would
change on it at this time.
My Homer, though I've only ridden about 50mi on it so far, I know I need to
change from downtube to bar-ends so I'm doing that. The way I have it set
up the DT shifters are just too damn far aw
Interested in the VO wheels if you would ship to Ireland?

Great report, looks like a great trip. I'm taking my Appa on a tour to
Wales next month, this has really got me excited for it.
I run 50c Soma Cazaderos with fenders and I would think 2.1" would fit
without any issues.
