Sorry to hear about this Joe. That ride through Leucadia is always
sketchy in my opinion without a legit bike lane. Whenever I'm riding
south through Leucadia I head up to Neptune and go back to PCH in
Encinitas. It's slower, but I've personally had some close calls/angry
drivers along the Leucadia
completely agree. the B&W is part of the "charm" to me. Great

the new design is just that, a new design. it's different than what
was initially shown during the presale and all the here's da hunka
stuff. If someone doesn't like the changes ( i haven't made up my mind
yet ), I don't see anything wrong with them asking
I agree, great job marty!
I'm also with Matt on this for those who pre-ordered, and I'm one of
them. It would be a substantial change to the design that was
presented to early adopters and therefore if they're going to go
through with this they need to contact each of those people. It sounds

I did see this. Not sure what to make of it. I actually like the way
it looks now, but it does sound really interesting. What do you think

Looks great! I'm considering a similar setup for the Hunqa I've
preordered. Really like the choices you made, looks like a great ride!

No idea on strength.

Looks like a great ride! I'd like to tag along on one of these rides,

Sounds like a good day! And interesting to run into 2 other Rivs, I
don't think I've ever seen one riding around here. Although I know
there's a few.
We'll hope for pictures next time ;)

I just wanted to quickly report on the 80 for Haiti ride yesterday. I
had a fantastic time! It was my first time riding an AdventureCorps
ride, and I was really impressed by how orderly and helpful Chris and
the volunteers were. They got the 150+ of us out and riding in a quick
and efficient manner
I hear ya Gary, I'm anxious to hear the specs too. Trying to decide
between this and one of those 64 Sam's that I've heard are coming at

deciding.

Thanks for the slideshow Chris! Looking forward to the ride, it does
look really fun.
Thanks so much for putting this together.

I'm planning on this and trying to get a few friends to go as well. 80
miles will be the longest I've ever ridden straight. But i commute
about 35 RT most days of the week, so hopefully I'll make it. Looks
like a great ride!

I'm local, up in North County area. I'm riding for sure, just signed
up this morning. It would be nice to meet some of you and grab a beer
or two. Personally I might like to do that after the ride rather than
the night before. But that's selfish I suppose since 80 miles for me
isn't trivial :)
Mat
I'd definitely be interested in a ride! Let me know if you guys get
something together.

That looks really nice, great job! I'll be on the lookout for that
bike, probably not many like it around here in San Diego..

Really impressive. I'm hoping my first Riv purchase(been saving for a
while) can happen during this timeframe. If not I'll just be sending a
donation anyway. Regardless, as Mike said I think it's another example
of why Rivendell is a great company.

Hi,
First post in the group! I'm transitioning myself away from the lycra
clad army of cyclists here in San Diego as I never really liked them
in the first place. Most of my riding is commuting anyway, and the
more and more I've been riding the sillier the outfit has felt to me.
