I have a never-used honey B67 that I could part with. What color and
condition are the Nelson? Would you consider a trade?

This is a difficult subject because too many people approach the subject
emotionally and attempts to be logical/unemotional get one labeled,
targeted, and rejected. The reality is that there are multiple mitigating
facts:

So last year while having my Proto-Appaloosa built up the 20-something LBS
mechanic insisted that I MUST run tubeless on my 700x38 tires. I shrugged
and let him go. Two weeks ago I scrubbed a high curb cut and unseated the
bead. Flat tire. Walked the 3 blocks home and tried pumping it up whi
Uber has been picking people up at the Pittsburgh airport using autonomous
vehicles for over a year. They've managed the sometimes bumper-to-bumper,
sometimes 70mph Parkway West to the city with no incidents and have
delivered folks to the city accident-free. Try driving in a city laid out

I'm struggling similarly. I set up a prototype Appaloosa last spring and
rode the past season with Albastache bars. But I always felt like I was
"in-between" comfort locations. When sitting upright I found myself
holding onto the very end of the bars, often actually holding the bar-end

Which is why the fastest riders are on recumbents. I can no longer manage
a recumbent because western PA hills don't align with a bike who's saddle
can be climbed out of -- and I'm too old and out-of-shape to spin fast
enough to maintain speed. Mashing on pedals and old knees don't get

So folks are saying my 225lb body plus -- essentially anything -- are too
much for my Yves Gomez? I suspect that I carry 25 lb of groceries on my
rear rack regularly. (Panniers, kind of balanced.)

Were I not already expected to be in Cancun, Mexico that week I'd
definitely be in. My son lives in Alexandria, Va (I am in Pittsburgh) and
I've always wanted to do GAP to C&O to Aaron Charlton. Someone please
help arrange a ride next year. Maybe by then I can take Amtrack home.

I just built up a 60cm Yves Gomez for myself. I'm 6'1" and have an 89pbh.
I'm sure she'll have no problem at all with a 60.
Here's what Riv says as to fitment for the current Cheviot:
*60cm*
TYPICAL RIDER HEIGHTS: women 5'6" 1//2 to 6'2, men about 5'8.5" to 6'3".
PBH 84 to 94cm
SADDLE HEIGH
I just installed that exact drivetrain on my Yves Gomez. Even though I
wouldn't ride in the small/small combination I still clear the large big
chain ring by a couple mm.

The front derailleur looks great and performs very well. Although, not
much is being asked of it since the chainrings are only 40-26. If, perhaps
a standard touring triple were in play... Note that the SUN XCD front is
a braze-on so a clamp will be needed, too.

I don't mind the upward curve of the levers at all. Kn fact, for me they
feel nicer than when my LHT had a mustache bar with straight levers.

That's a start, at least. First time I've ever spec'd components myself so
