When I converted my Sam to single speed, I left the rear derailler and rear
shifter on the bike and kept the cassette wheel and chain - to be able to
switch back and forth.
That must have been 3 years ago and I haven't switched once.

With my76 cm saddle height, the large saddle sack sits a little too close
to the rack, pushing up the bottom of the bag in the middle and wasting

I ended up buying the medium and exchanging it for the large without

They both fit MTB sized levers which is good for my v-brakes. The choco looks
more comfortable in the pictures. I especially like the flatter shape of the
"corners".

One disadvantage is that only a few v-brake levers work with road bars.

different.
Sam - 700c wheels, med/high trail, albas, saddlebag, single speed
Brompton - 16" wheels, low trail, M-bars, 6 speed
I find I go a little slower and tire a little less with the Brompton. Love
them both.

The diameter of the skewer is a bit too wide. Looks like just under 6mm.
The hub is brand new, just arrived, and appears perfect in the light of the
battery headlight it is supposed to replace.
