I have had both front basket and rear rack/panniers loaded and didn't
notice any difference in the ride.
I wouldn't hesitate to load it up for a tour. I also regularly load the
front basket with a comical amount of groceries,
steering gets a little stiff, but nothing the bike can't handle. Blurry
Debating. Would love to do it. Would my Holdsworth Professional with 32's
do the trick?
I love my Bleriot, but it weighs a ton. Haven't ridden in NYC since I did a
Monster Track race
on a brakeless track bike. I'm so much smarter now lol.

Mind sharing how much it ran you? I'm not too far from Mack's, I might have
them build me
a dynamo wheel.

If the bike is optimized for 26 x 2.1 tires, you won't get the real benefit
of going to 650b IMHO.
If you could only fit skinny 650b tires, I don't think it's worth it.
I converted my Schwinn Moab bc it fit 650 x 47 tires, which drastically
improved the ride.

Have you tried Shimano 9spd indexed barcon shifters? I have used them for
years, and they work great. Nice little cu-chunk when it shifts and
it doesn't miss a shift. They have a friction option too. You would have to
get new levers, shifters, rear derailleurs and chain. You could also go
with

I made this comment 3 days ago, and it's just showing up now. Why am I on
some kind of monitoring?
Please let me know what I have done to justify this treatment, or just tell
me to leave if I'm not welcome here.
Can I get the names of the Mods, please?

I have the Tektro brakes and a Clem 650b wheelset that I ran on my Bleriot
until recently.
The wheels are 135 spaced in the rear, don't know if that works, and the
rear hub needs an overhaul (easy cup and cone job).
Let me know if you're interested.

I remember seeing something about a Testors model paint color that matched
up really well with the Bleriot aqua color. I can't find it now, do any
Bleriot owners have any idea?
Thanks,

Thinking of getting canti-studs brazed on my Bleriot. Then the answer would
be my Bleriot:

Hmmm, I just finally put together a 57 Bleriot. It was pretty beat up when
I got it.
What don't you like about the Atlantis? It's unlikely I'd want to part with
it, but maybe?
Send pics of the Atlantis, I'll post some of the Bleriot later today.
