some new guidelines for me to try. It seems to me that it’s mor
This thread (and ensuing discussion) compelled me to buy the book. Interesting
stuff - thanks all.

Thanks Eric. That's pretty much what I'm leaning towards - cheap cork tape

Just ordered some TRP levers and while installing them I'm going to try cotton
bar tape with shellac on my Heron. Having always ridden cork bar tape, I'm
inclined to go with some sort of padding but wanted to see what works for
others.
So, if you use cotton tape, do you pad underneath, and i

That makes perfect sense. I just cleaned it up with the hone. I didn't take
anything off. The butted steerer tubes I'd seen previously have been Columbus
and had helical ridges so when I didn't see them I didn't give it any thought.
Thanks for the advice!

I have a Nitto M12 already on the bike, so I wouldn't be interested in the
rack/bag combo. Although the VO bag is shorter, it is deeper and the volumes
are quite similar (at least on paper). Point taken on a used bag. With a

No idea. Mine is kind of a deep green color. BQ did a test a long time ago on
