The silence is very nice, most of the time, but when I ride my commuter
with IGH and belt in the rain, I get a bit of wet belt squeak. It's not
intolerable, but it's not silent either.

Thanks for the link to that documentation. I believe mine is a 54cm 2014
model. It looks like I got the newer blue color with the older fork. It's a
bridge model, I guess!

I bought mine from a friend of a friend and I've done a bit of poking
around on the history of the San Marcos but I still don't fully understand
the evolution of the fork and color.
I used the Velo Orange band clamps for the third water bottle cage. It's
been rock solid and handy having the option
San Marcos, you say? Let's see a photo of that one, if you don't mind. You
don't see too many in the wild!

As a fellow zip-tie dynamo light routing enthusiast, I can say I didn't
even notice them while gazing at the bike. The cable routing? Elegant and
graceful. The front bag? A nice blend of modern and classic. The zip ties?
What zip ties?

Sorry to hear you did not get the kickstand you asked for. Maybe you want
to go back to that shop and ask them to replace the current kickstand with
the one you originally asked for? Or maybe you've had enough of that shop
already.
No one else thinks it's a bit out of line for the shop to use the
I was just about to sandwich some 3" angle brackets to the bottom of a
front basket and use them as a light mount under the basket. I still might,
but that little mount is a pretty slick solution.

If only I were taller. That size L is going to keep me out of the captain's
seat but I appreciate the heads up!

Hello all,
I'm looking to buy a small Hubbuhubbuh. I'm guessing there are not many out
there but if you have one and you're pondering a sale please let me know.
Thanks,
Eric in Madison, WI

If this was a small I'd be all over it. If anyone does have a small
Hubbuhubbuh collecting dust, please let me know. GLWS, Robert.

I rode the Peninsula Fall Challenge a few years ago. The entire route was
fairly light on traffic with the exception of a stretch on highway 42.
Overall if you avoid highways 57 and 42 you should be in good shape. Bay
Shore Drive in particular is a lovely road.
These routes might provide some insp
That's a nice looking bag. How much clearance do you need from seat to tire?
Thanks,

I'm also experimenting with my first SA saddle and it definitely wants its
nose a little higher than I run my B17s. I was practically sliding off when
I first installed it in my usual Brooks orientation.

Hi Randy,
Good memory! You are correct. The San Marcos is my link to the Rivendell
family. Not quite as burly as your Appaloosa but it's a joy to ride on
the Driftless hills.
The Pugs was a blast to ride this winter. Most enjoyable were several rides
through the neighborhood over unplowed streets
I'm intrigued by the idea of wider tires on the new Roadini but I currently
ride a Soma San Marcos that I'm pretty happy with. I can squeeze 38s in it
and the ride is pretty great for brevets and long leisurely rides. I do
like the 44s I'm running on a touring bike but I just don't know that I
need
