Brian — Do you have any pictures to share? If the FD is so low as to be
touching the chainstay and you're having trouble shifting from the middle
ring to the large ring, I wonder if that derailer is mounted a bit low. In
the past I've had to install FDs with a larger gap between the top of the
Tim's ride to Keystone after the Hot Dog ride was a blast and certainly a
highlight of the weekend. A great route on quiet roads with Steven C.,
Cameron, Tim and Dan S. Even tho Dan S. and I got dropped for a bit and
lost in the woods!

Hi Jay — I'd love to be one of the people who can ride all day in cotton
canvas shorts in the summer or chinos in the winter. I prefer the casual
look of some cutoffs and just being able to hop on the bike. But for long

When my chain was jumping I didn't have any problems with the Silver 1
shifters slipping. I used the same shifters before and after my accident.

"WD 40 spray grease." Please note, this is different than the standard

What Brian said plus my choice would be the 12cm Tallux or the 13.5cm
face-plater assuming you're on a Riv 54cm or larger.
I have a 12cm Tallux on my Appaloosa with Ortho bars. It's been pretty
good, no complaints, but those bars are massive and I wouldn't mind having
them a little further awa
