I purchased a Cheviot earlier this year. I got a huge discount on mine because of the middle stay issue. With mine Riv sanded down the middle stay so it would accommodate the chain and cog. It seems fine with no issue to frame integrity. The 2 chain thing drove me a little crazy. Regards.

I am curious why there is no post about this frame. I actually think it's a lot nicer then my Rambo, it is a well thought out bike. From what I can tell other then the seat, all the lugs are Riv's; even the bottom bracket lug has the rivendell stamp on it. The price was hard to beat! -- You
