One of the mistakes I made when a chose a similar build option when
building a Mermaid Platypus, was that I didn't specify silver components
and ended up with a mix of silver and mostly black components which to my
eye is not as pleasing as silver would have been. I was able to specify

Looks like this was posted in May 2023 with a price of $3200. So it looks
like a price decrease to me.

Two Rivendell framesets never built:
Clem L 45cm dark green frameset. This was from the last batch of Clems
with the 26 inch wheelsets purchased maybe two years ago. $1250.
Rosco Platypus 50cm frameset. There were two colors available - purple and
green. This is the green. $1500 - a bit le

Frameset as received from Rivendell, never built or had any components
mounted. My increasing age and my decreasing ability to ride is making
me reconsider my need for this bike. I am currently in the process of
building a small 26 inch Clem L. which will hopefully satisfy my future
needs.
Prices are increasing - note the price for this 60 cm Cheviot eBay sale -
$3200+ shipping.. Almost makes $3500 price seem in the ball park.

I pre-ordered one of the original Hunqapillars. From what I can recall,
the Hunquapillar was the first Taiwan built Rivendell bicycle after
Rivendell left Toyo Japan. It might have even been a Toyo Taiwan shop. I

I have one ordered and have begun my planning of parts.
Several questions:
What size is the seatpost? I assume one does not come with a frame.
Bottom bracket - Does a frame come with a bottom bracket?
I recall reading somewhere that Rivendell was going to offer two variations

At age 71, Susie is my 6th and probably last Rivendell bike purchase...

A Mountain Mixte with room for wide tires (3 inches) and 26 inch wheels in
the smaller sizes. (I'm short and old.)
The North American Handmade Bicycle Show is 20 miles away from me in a few
weeks and I'm really thinking about attending and talking to builders about
such a bike.

I received a Rivendell email yesterday about another possible batch of the
Rosco sort of mountain mixte. Sounds like the same as the last batch with
maybe a different color. Cost is estimated to be $800 without bottom
bracket, headset or seatpost. Grant said he needs a commitment for 8 and

Anybody know what the tire size is? I'm hoping it's a 26 inch Hunqapillar
fork..
I sent an email maybe 10 days ago but haven't heard back. In the past, I
always emailed Kevin (5 bike purchases including 3 mixtes). I miss
him..

For sale is a 55cm Yves Gomez Frame and Fork (male version of the Betty
Foy). I've owned it for 3 years - rode it about 300 miles the first year
and only one ride since due to a rotator cuff issue and too many other
bikes. See the pictures here:

These don't come up often - looks real good with some nice equipment.
Way big for me and not associated in any way other than a huge mixte
fan
