I've found Gunnar paint to be very good. They got a bad rap early on with
some poor paint and that reputation has lived on in the internet ether far
beyond the reality of the quality of paint since the late oughts. Not

great...particularly the 1991-93 models. Size also matters...ahem...as far
as sale price. If it has that 93 biplane fork it is even more desirable.

I like BT as well and nothing at all against Gary but I miss seeing Heidi,
the former editor. Partially that is selfish because she published one of
my stories but she always seemed nice and very genuine. Anybody know where
she headed off to after leaving BT?

Sorry about being laid off. Was it really a coin toss between those two
bikes? I'd be curious of the thought process behind the "Sophie's Choice."
Not really my size but the Hunq is one of the most compelling bikes Riv
makes.

I haven't ridden that section but the Adventure Cycling Association has a
route map that takes you from Reno, Sacramento, to SF. You should check
there because it may be a good option.
