I have been shooting for almost 45 years. I worked with the best as an
assitant NYC from 85/95. My camera of choice was the Pentax 6x7. A beast to
lug around. I briefly had the Pentax 645. Worked and loved the Hasselblad
but very costly. I used almost all makes and models as an assistant. Most
Tubeless is basically set it and forget it. If I was traveling by bike
around the world I would use tubes only because I doubt you can get Stans
in some remote village in Vietnam. The less I have to think about my bike
the better. A maintence free bike is the way to go for me. It I had the $ I
Tannus tire inserts are great for flat free riding w. tubes. A normal floor
pump works,no compressor needed to go tubeless. It helps if your tire and
rim are TLR. One layer of rim tape. Remove valve core, seat the tire, then
with soapy water around both sides where the rim and tire meet lather it

I found that 700x38 is the sweet spot for tires on the road and flat trail.
I had that size on my Saluki years back. That is one of the reasons I
bought the She Devil for the 38 size tire. The tires I used.Schwalbe
Marathon wire bead 700x38. Very fast, stable and cut resistant tires.
On Monday,
I was a bike messenger in NYC late 70's early 80's. Bike theft was very
high back then. I once had a beat up single speed that was stolen. Then a
week later I saw it loosely locked up to a stand pipe at Macy's Hearld
Square. Guess what happened next?
