Your Hunq looks nice. New ride looks nice also. I had the opportunity to
chat with the mechanic from Pinion last summer at the second gig. They
shipped and had reassembled their bikes at the REI store prior to RAGBRAI.
I think they were all or mostly all using Pinion's electronic shifting and

Yes! Toss those and get a set of KoolStop Cross Pads, in the smooth post
configuration. Then you are in with the Dura2 style insert which you can
get in any compound. https://koolstop.com/products/cross-pad-cantilever.
Unfortunately QBP doesn't carry them anymore, so lots and lots of online
Oh, that's a good price! I bought some for $150 off an Instagram friend.
MKS Bubbly is my absolute favorite pedal and really wanted them in gold.
And yeah, they sold out fast.

Hello,
I've got a set of old Shimano XT cantilever brakes - smooth posts, not
threaded. I'm looking for salmon pad inserts that will work with this
Shimano style brake pad that has the set screw. Pad inserts seem to be
about 70mm long. Any ideas?

very curious to know what Roman's front rack is. It has different details
than both the obento and the basket rack, but is just as wide, wider than
the marks rack platform.

Hey Jay,
What a sweet tribute to a sweet ride. From the looks of it, the hunq has
seen a good share of adventure under your ownership! I can imagine you
didn't want to split the attention between your Hunq and Gus, just like one
shouldn't propose to their SO at someone else's wedding (haha), but
How about a little info about the new custom even if it isn’t a Rivendell.

It has the red stripe like a Nitto alu heat treated. I think it is the new
Riv bar, given that he had an Albatross on it in the prior build version,
and we know Roman is taking a personal bike to Philly Bike Expo, along with
the other Riv attendees

Hi Jim,
Sorry to hear you can't make it. I'm not a fan of extended rides in cold
weather either, but I'm hoping it'll warm up enough by the time the ride
starts.
Count me in for a D&R ride when it gets warmer.

Good eyes, David! The bars on Roman's could be Nitto b355 "Kite" bars, but
it's hard to tell. The problem with the Kite bars, for me, is width (not
enough) and forwards sweep (too much). Hoping for something similar, but
wider.
cheers,
