Since starting this thread, I did spring for a fancy new wheel set that I'm

Update to clarify photos: Yes, those are 48mm Soma Shikoro tires in the earlier
Bullmoose iteration. I still have them and would swap out for the Rock ‘n Roads
if desired. No, the Bullmoose bars are sold and no longer available. See the
last couple of photos for current build.
And here are some
Thanks -- yes, I've noticed that Surly fixed cogs are thicker in the center
than at the teeth. Will have to remove Monocog wheel and investigate the
freehub to verify the space available.
I'd read the BSNYC blog and noted the QR used with the "rocker" dropouts;
his description actually tempted me

Hi Steven,
Thanks - the bag is a standard extra large Berthoud bag from Jan Heine’s
site. It’s about 31cm tall.

Very beautiful bicycle Robert, and a 15-year wait seems about right for
such a score. Enjoy!

Winter sorting and garage cleaning has me thinking about (n-1)+1.
Short version: Asking $1,300 plus shipping from Oregon for my Taiwan-built
Bruce Gordon BLT in battleship gray, to be sold as pictured as a complete bike
with BG racks (made in Petaluma, CA), or make me an offer on the F/F/HS+BB
I need to give up on straightening the rear wheel on my wife's old B-Stone
X0-5, it's just not happening. Does anyone in Berkeley/Oakland/Albany
environs have a 132 rear wheel they would like to sell? Good condition,
straight spokes, runs true? She has a 7-speed cassette cluster (not a free

Bill, You have an eclectic and wide ranging taste in bikes, and I am often
surprised by your choices. So I can’t wait to see where this one fits in

I can add a Rich-built velocity synergy w/ Deore wheelset and WTB Horizon
tires (as seen in original photo of complete bike, lots of life left but
rear tire is very dirty) for $250, if desired.
F/F/HS/BB - $800
Wheelset and tires - $250 (only with frame)
Clem rear rack - $50 (only with frame)

Roadeo from Nobilette this week, and it's off to paint. I paid them a

painted, and built up.
On my visit I had a very nice chat with Grant abou
