ooh, I thanks for the tip on the microshift mounts. Think I'll try some of
those out, I don't like how fat the riv silver thumbie mounts are. The
versatility and hinge are useful, but I'd rather have something less
obtrusive.

If they work with Silver-2, they will work with Silver-1. The mounting
interface for both variants is the same.

Ryan, it’s working out great so far. I’ve ridden singletrack 6 of the last 9 days for roughly 125 miles. In comfort & control. No significant hand issues and very much more responsive than with the Bosco. The bike is an absolute blast.Sent from my iPhoneOn Nov 13, 2023, at 8:31 PM, Ryan Frahm wrot

Yes, bus racks - my area of expertise - are a whole 'nother kettle of

Huh - I'm curious. Did you ever have the black plastic one they included
with the 2016 Sam completes? If so, how does it compare?

Has anyone had their bike denied on Amtrak due to wheelbase length? The
Amtrak I take occasionally has a 2" tire width limit in their fine print,
but I have never had an issue even though all my tires are larger than
that. I asked a conductor once and he basically said if its a standard bike

Rivendell hillibikes are incredible trail bikes. It's funny because I
cannot stand suspension "squish". The long wheelbase and large tire
clearance makes Riv's a formidable off roader. Especially in slow steep
climbs and fast loose (non bumpy) descents.
I'll say it once and I'll say it again -
Hi Andrew - I am picky about my brake levers. I don't like a lot of length
on the barrel adjustor side as well as I don't like a bolt that interferes
with setting your hand on the levers. A lot of modern V brake levers have
both of these things. Paul's are way out of my price range. I got a pair

toward one goal,...
... for this popular steel stead it's always "smooth sailing", with
the goal of a huge smile when riding one! :-)
