Thanks Josh!
I’ve got a Rambouillet I like to commute on but I’ve been riding the Clem
exclusively since I busted my arm skateboarding. The Ram’s set up more
forward/aggressive, and is less easily shifted into a more upright
position. Fortunately I get to park my bikes in the back lot of my work
Jason, at the risk of going OT, I’d love to hear about your Wombat. It’s a
bike I’ve been eyeing, even though I really can’t justify it.
Thanks,
Eric

I did this with the Charlie Gallop - I sold it to a friend, then a few
months later after I noticed they were dragging their heels on building it
up and me feeling a hole where my Charlie once was, offered to buy it back

Hey Alex,
Thanks for sharing your experience! PBP, im so jealous, glad you got to do
it.
I’m definitely going to give the 650b conversion a shot. Given that the LB
frames are getting low on inventory I’m tempted to buy one and just hold on
to it, but funds are low as is my wife’s patience! But I
Peter, great info re: the Mardi Gras colors! I'm thinking of gold + green,
harlequin-style, for the purple bike.
(I'm also remembering the smell of sweet olive blossoms and the taste of a
real beignet and the sound of Preservation Hall...my mom was born there and
I love to visit!)

Takashi,
Thank you for the compliment. Yes, the Appaloosa was perfect for the
terrain. Keep posting pictures of your part of the world, much more
beautiful than I knew! Hope you have great Fall color.

Selling my Rivendell Roadeo 63 cm Frameset. Comes with frame, fork, and
headset. The stem is not included, however I will include the spacers. It
was made by Waterford. It has about 2,000 miles on it.

I am going to join in on this thread with my Gus. After carefully procuring just the right parts & building up my Gus myself (first time) I am making some changes. First, I will be swapping out my Deore rear derailleur for a NOS T400 Nexave rapid rise unit. Trail riding on the Gus has convinced me
Congratulations to everyone who are getting bicycles for those of you that
this is a first Riv. This is the ultimate Riv that I’ve never owned. My
bet is that you’ll ride it for two minutes, and then wonder what you
waited for. I wish you all the most happiness in the saddle.

Green + purple + yellow = Mardi Gras bike. Go to New Orleans during the
season, and all the plastic beads thrown from the parade floats are in
those three colors. Maybe yellow bar tape or water bottles.

On the lookout for a Heron touring (canti brakes) in 61cm or 63cm. Maybe
someone has one perched in the rafters? If not you, maybe you know of one
in the wild?

Kai,
Love that clem. Do you commute on that regularly and if so what is your
lock-up situation? It looks like it's accumulated some real-world working
miles, and I love it. I'm currently commuting on a Rohloff Surly but was
thinking about switching over to a clem for that purpose. I lock in an

it needs to go to make space for my new Riv, which I’ll post shortly. I’m

Ryan,
I love the white grips with your mustard colored Clem. I once had a
mustard Appaloosa and was never crazy about its color. However, your Clem
has made me change my mind about the color and how the accessories can
really change the look— your Clem is like a well thought out and put
