I will be there +1. I'm getting there a tad early, around 9ish (coming from
Logan Square) to have somethin' looked at (sounds like a doctors
appointment, heh).
If anyone is coming from Logan/west side area and wants to roll out
together, let me know!

Thanks for the recommendation, Liz! Unfortunately I’m going to have to
agree with Jim. I’ve used microfiber saddles in the past and I’m not able
to slid around on them enough for my liking.
For what it’s worth, my solution to the saddle theft problem thus far has

I agree with this sentiment. My 58cm QB is my “core” bike. Hills, long rides, errands — it does most of what I want from a bike and does it very well. Keeping this one is a good idea…Sent from my iPhoneOn Aug 27, 2023, at 11:27 AM, Benjamin L. Kelley wrote:Honestly, if I was somehow forced to win
Honestly, if I was somehow forced to winnow down to one bike, it would be

It's a pretty great do about everything except race or full on mtb frame.
Jason, glad you decided to keep it. It's also a great build.

There are two huge obstacles you will have to overcome to make this project
work properly: cable pull and cog clearance.
I do not believe it is possible to clear a 42t cog with the M310 derailleur (or
any commonly available <10s rear derailleur) without a derailleur hanger
extender.

The problem I had with the Velo Orange saddle was the microfiber cover. I

Does anyone happen to have the measurements of a B17 handy for comparison?
I’ve wanted to throw a less attractive saddle on my grocery getter because
saddle theft is a thing around here with nice saddles, but I have yet to
find anything as comfortable.
