Hey... Not sure if you're still looking at buying a Riv, but I have a 2010
Hillborne in 48cm size (orange) that I'm getting ready to sell. It's a full
build, so it would have all the parts, unless someone has the parts they
want, in which case I will consider just selling the frameset. Let me kn
Willet,
Nice bike. Pretty sure we have chatted before regarding Deluxe Bikes in
Lincoln, NE. That is where I got my MB-0(Zip). Got word of that frameset
from a shop manager I worked under. Was deciding on either a Trek something
or another, probably 930 complete or the Zip. The discount price o
Hey James,
Looks like you got one of those smoke chrome Schwinns. I have one. Got it
from a friend in trade for some bike work. Was her fathers. Don't know if
he was the original owner or just acquired it. I haven't gotten to work on
it with work and the many other bike projects. I do have som
Hi folks. I could not find my older post to update - new rock bottom

I prefer the B17. Yes I have pics and will add them to this post with a

I am a big fan of what you are trying to do. It works great when it is
mainly flat like you describe. Not finding the right gears when the winds
start dragging you is just that a drag.
I have Joe running 48/34 x 12-13-14-15-17-19-21-23-25-27 (10 Speed) on 700

When I have a lot of gear choices, I like very close ratios on the middle
or cruising range, with much less-considered tailwind and downhill gears
and ditto climbing gears. On my sole derailleur bike* I use a 42/28 X 13-25
10 speed and I'll probably one day swap the 28 for a 26 o 24, and the low

Jay: I'm sorry to hear about your near misses. I've had my share and they
leave a "sour taste in your mouth" -- a kind of lingering depressed or dark
feeling that is -- in my case at least -- even stronger than the inevitable
lingering residual fear.

I have had two bikes with a bailout gear setup. A freewheel with a 24 to
32 jump with a 7 speed LX mountain derailer and friction shifting and a 7
speed homebrew cassette also with a 24-32 jump with a 7 speed Ultegra road
derailer (6400 series) that shifts fine in index mode.

George kindly reminded me that the Tallux is longer quilled so if anyone has
that 110 in a Tallux vs regular Technomic I am interested. (Also the internet
says it’s stronger, being cold forged)
Apologies for the many posts.

I am looking for two used Technomic stems, 25.4 clamp, a 110mm and a 120mm.
Please email me off list if you have one or both for sale, with shipping to

Prefer used for the cost savings.
Thanks! Liz

I keep at it. As I learn the traffic patterns on my route it becomes
easier to navigate safely. I actually feel this when driving, walking or
biking. I don't know the NJ traffic laws but in CA, if I'm approaching an
intersection (or even a parking lot) where I know lots of people turn
right,
Hi Smitty,
Should you have trouble finding the stainless that you seek and decide a
silver coated cromo steel would be sufficient I have one currently not in
use and could make it available. Just let me know if you decide to go that
route and we could discuss further.

Hello Adam,
My experience with the Megarange freewheels has been that they are
difficult to setup with index shifters, friction is OK.
