I carried 44.2 lb home from Sprout's just now in 2 Ortlieb Backrollers on a ss Tubus Fly modified by Steven Bilenky for the 2020 Matthews (geometrical clone of 2003 Curt Riv Custom). I usually like to cut it off at about 35 lb, but the thinnish-wall, normal gauge 531 frame handled it with aplomb.
