The change in specs could be from supply chain issues. Parts for anything
are hard to find.

That's a nice upgrade from the awful semi-index shifters my first gen Clem
had. I think these might have gotten less bad in subsequent generations,
though.

Interesting update from the weekly Riv email, the next batch of Clem
completes will come with index trigger rear and thumbie friction front. I
have no particular opinion on this, it's just interesting from a company
that pushed friction so hard for 26 years.

WOW, check out the chainguard, skirt guard and racks wrapped around front
and rear lights. I'm sure it's a tank but I'd ride it! 👍

I might try to switch it to drops this weekend or next. I appreciate the
advice Bill. The stem is also currently to long for the Albastasche.
A couple of questions that came up:
The bike pictured currently has 38 mm Rene Here (Compass) tires. I think
it could easily fit 33s with Fenders.

Good point. I had a 56/57 Rom and it fits similar and my 58 Ram fits bigger.

Hello, I am interested in the Quickbeam. I sent you a message but not sure
if it went through, please message me if it's still available. Thanks!

Thanks, Rich, great idea! Rob, who painted the frame, gave me a tool that
performs the same function when he returned the bike. Wish I'd know about
the skewer trick before.

As with most things: it depends. If by "best" you mean "quickest easiest
way to make a best guess for a rider who doesn't have a solid idea how they
want to fit on a bike", then YES, it's still the best way. I
I think Patrick brought this up not too long ago, but looks like there is a
nice quantifiable map (down to zip code) about how long we have been
getting dangerous air days in the last couple of years.

Eric,
Congratulations on your beautiful Sam. Enjoyed your video and the views of
your shop as well.
A tip that (I believe courtesy of Sheldon Brown) makes removing a bottom
bracket much easier: if the bb spindle allows, run a wheel skewer through
the spindle and your bb tool, clamp the tool d

That’s sad. Without Harris Cyclery, we might never have had Velouria and
the Lovely Cicycle blog, and I might not have found Rivendell (and would
still be wandering around lost in Mirkwood). I hope others will take up
where Harris Cyclery left off, for the benefit of the locals, at least.

I just happened to check into Harris Cyclery the other day to see if they
had a certain component in stock only to find this announcement:

straight axle.
FYI - Amazon says they have a 32 hole 135 ENO eccentric in stock.
