Danner light ii doesn’t fulfill many of your requirements but they are the best
boot I’ve ever worn. Most comfortable, longest lasting, insanely durable. I’ve
worn them on wild hikes, but more often they are shoes I take traveling. I’ve
had mine for 10 years and they will easily go another 10.
I love my Iron Rangers—incredibly comfortable after break-in. Be sure to size
down.

I do believe that custom belongs to Laing, as per the “So close, yet so far”
thread from last month. Laing, it looks fantastic. Are you getting excited??

Three fun nuggets in today's email update.
1. Rapid rise rear derailers!
2. A custom with naked rear dropouts
3. and with headtube mounted shifters

I am thinking of replacing my walking shoes, a worthy but unexceptional
pair from an REI parking lot sale a few years ago.
I'd like to find something that supports the ankles, has Vibram soles, is
not excessively heavy, and that has replaceable -- Goodyear welt? -- soles.

Placement should correlate with the rack you are likely to use, too. If you
already have one, figure out optimal position for leveling and adjusting
without the struts being difficult to connect.

The bike does look great!
First “XT” dyno hub I’ve seen, too.
What are those V-brakes? The parts listing simply says “Shimano” though
there is no badging and the shoes seem to bolt into a trough.
Similar to TRP CX brakes but the noodle stop is different.
Perhaps the Mystery Rivendell v-brakes?

Hi all,
I ordered a L and XL, and the XL fits perfectly. L is still in its plastic
- didn't even try it on.
$120 plus postage which shouldn't be much.

And I can vouch for the Susie orange looking amazing in person. Online it looks
different in every picture, and probably different on your device than mine.

For someone that is looking to further future-proof, so to say, a vintage
frame by having some rack bosses brazed on, are there standard measurements
usually followed for the rear bosses?
In the front, for instance, mid fork hourglass boss tend to be 165mm from

Hi Hugh,
I'm curious, what are the slots on the sides of the holes where the
bolt goes through, and why are the holes on opposing sides of the holes?
Thanks,

I got a call from Will yesterday saying that my frame has arrived and will
be shipping soon. I asked him about the orange color and he said that the
color is like the Susie orange. He said the photo's posted by Blue Lug
don't represent the actual color.

I'd say that the cheviot sweater is a much slimmer fit, but has a TON of
stretch. so it fits me and is not constricting at all, but is more form

probably be perfect. I live in CA though, so if i wear a sweater, its
