I run that on my commuter. Works great on the step through frame I have but I
second the idea of being thoughtful about leg clearance for
mounting/dismounting.

Mark,
I totally agree, and I'm also tempted by the tall 80s MTBs all the time. All
three you got recently would be hard for me to pass up, but a tall '84 830?
Pretty cool.
More garage ceiling hooks. Problem solved!

Not yet, though it was briefly considered when exploring cargo carrying for my
wife who did not care for handling with a front load (for the most part.) But
we ended up trying something similar with a milk crate with mixed results. This

Kurt: I had my tongue shoved hard into my left cheek. I'll probably build
it up with generation-last, mechanical, Shimano, Ultegra, I suppose. Still
in planning stages.
I'd love to have a CF road bike built for the AM hub, but until I can

listed after back then. I wound up with a Specialized Stumpjumper which I still

As a thriftier alternative to, say, a large Sackville Saddlesack, Fabs

a day.
Anyone else running a similar configuration?

Patrick, I was totally with you until you mentioned the AM hub. What rear
spacing are you going for to work with an AM hub? Put an FM into play not long
ago, but in an old English frame spaced about 115mm. Now you have me curious.
