No love for the tires? How about 50 shipped for the contis and 40 shipped
for the donnellys? You basically get one tire for free...

When I sent an OC rear back to Velocity, they re-built the wheel with a non
OC Synergy rim and it works very well. I must say that I still have another
bike in service (rode it hard tonight in fact) with a trouble free OC Synergy
rear.

Well, it was Quickdraw Philip that pulled the trigger first! Congratulations,
buddy, and enjoy. I'm a Brad art fan, and plan to keep a closer eye on
whatever he is inspired to do. Or maybe I'll resort to begging for something
custom.

If it were not knobby on the sides, would it be useable?

Had an amazing time too! Not sure why I look so miserable in the picture.
Found some beers too but those are now gone.

Update: taken on a real ride, I feel those 700x50 Cazadero TC’s will stretch
and be too tight at the chainstay, and I doubt I’ll keep using them on the
Hillborne.
But there’s a piece of data for Hillborne owners. The tire that is just on the
cusp between fitting and not.

Yes. I looked at each of my bikes tonight. Each gave me intense joy.

I wish Rivendell would bring back the Legolas not because I am a racer but
rather because I want a bike for day rides on mixed surfaces. For this
purpose, the Atlantis is overbuilt and the AHH lacks tire clearance. A 650b
Legolas would be even better.

Dear Eamon,
The Kucharik jerseys are club cut, though less club cut than a Hanes
beefy-T. I wear a large "race-cut" jersey (size 4) and a medium in Kucharik
short-sleeve jerseys.
Wabi Woolens medium-tall is an optimum fit in their original (winter)
jerseys, though a large is still a fit for

André: I didn’t get a chance to actually do it before my ride on Saturday, but
last night I hit the sleeve up with some strategically-placed blasts of T-9 and
let it sit overnight. They were quiet for my ride into work this morning, at
least! Fingers crossed that does the trick.

The photos are mainly to show how nice the tires are. They don’t show the gap.
There is space, but yes, this is certainly the closest one should get. I like
when I find a bike’s clearance limit.

I don't think I'd be comfortable with those clearances, but I understand
the desire to test the limits in search of better traction and more fun.

I don't know for a fact they stopped making them but I've searched multiple
times for the Sugino bashguard ring because i like the looks. Have found
nothing, but perhaps if I understood Japanese I might be able to cast an
even wider net.

It is interesting and not-all-that-surprising that the Legolas is so
frequent. It's the only racing bike Rivendell has ever made, so if you are
strictly a bike-racer, and wanted a Rivendell to come back, then
resurrecting the one and only Rivendell Racing Model is the natural
choice. All othe

++ on the All Rounder with space for RTPs. I will say that Surly still
makes the LHT for 26-inch wheels in all sizes with canti posts. The frame
clearly lacks the magic of a Riv but mimics the All Rounder.
Also, any flat-top-tubed, 650b road bike.

I think I have an extra one, I'll look in the bins today. I let a friend
ride my Quickbeam once and he wiped out so hard that he bent the pedal, and
when I replaced the pedals I felt a wobble on that side. So I bought a new
set of cranks with the bashguard.
I'll let you know in a bit.

Like it says. I would buy from Riv but they are sold out and their price is
fair too. So, if you have some you bought from Riv that are now in your parts
bin I would buy them. If there is anything you need or would want in trade I
have lots of stuff that needs to go. Thanks in advance.

Another second for the cheap and good looking BBG Bash Guards. Picked up

I think a Riv safety triangle from the back seat would add the perfect
splash of complimentary color. I also sense that they do get some drivers
to think just the teeny-tiniest bit. Which is something. Anyway, I have a
couple in circulation and rarely pedal from home without one. Cheery, too!
