Or sell the 56cm and build up the new? The 56cm Toyo should be a sought after
model for some time, due to the 26" wheel size. 650b for rim brakes leaves few
options for rims outside of the USA, so someone looking for a traveling bike

If you are in a place like me, getting to trails or gravel is not super easy,

I’d make one a townie or road tourer and the other a 90’s style mountain trail

Sweet! Let us know how it goes. In my experience the adventure intensifies

That is indeed a good problem to have. I've had a 58 cm Toyo Atlantis for

bikes ride noticeably differently. I prefer the new, long wheelbase for

I like free Range and I used to talk to the original owner about Rivendell all

I would absolutely second (third? fourth?) Free Range. Very cool shop in
general, and there was a half-built Cheviot on the floor last time I
visited. Owner's bike, if memory serves.
I've also heard great things about Aaron's Bike Repair down in White

Note how the grips on that bike are behind the steerer. A reversed stem and
drop bars is just another way to achieve the same thing. Nothing to wonder
about.

Here's the XL demo that was sold, if the STA is 71.5 as many Rivs have been
lately, the HTA appears a bit shallower, maybe 70/71 degrees. Note the

If you're in Ballard, I'd just go to Free Range in Fremont. They're super
close to you, and were at one time a Rivendell dealer. They are also super
nice people there, and definitely won't mock you. No "bike shop dude"
mentality there - in fact it's a woman owned business.

Super interesting. Trust the guys at Analog and Rivendell to think of
something out of the box like this. I read up on that zero stem and it
certainly looks like it would work good the the GBW frame. Especially with
some Noodles which come back a notch.

I would build up the MIT one as an old school style MTB with Wavie or
Bullmoose bars, and the Waterford as a drop bar all-rounder. Unless you
can't afford to keep both, I bet you wouldn't regret it!

The answer is obvious. Keep them both. I think they are significantly

Don't build it up, that would be a money losing proposition. Sell what you
have in the box. Good luck on your sale.

I rode the reverse stem Clem. It felt good. The only thing that might take a
