Or just cover your trusty leather saddle. 10 miles is too long for me to fake
it, I gotta have my B17.

I got a Cleverhood after years and years of wearing out a Carradice (the
fluorescent pro-route). I held off for a long time because the Cleverhood
is not cheap, but it's just so well made and they look really good. The
reflective thread they weave in gives off a huge glow under headlights but

Thanks Dave. This is great Info and what I was hoping to hear.

I have a dyno hub on my Tern Cargo Node and I so wish I had one on my Clem.

That bonus should read cup and cone bottom bracket, not that that's all it

I picked up a Vaude Valdipino for about $40 shipped from western Europe
(France, I believe). So far, so good. It does flap something awful above
~15mph, but it has me completely sold on the poncho concept. The hood works
nicely, too.
RBW has a large Grundens poncho on sale for $80 now, too. Hav
The all-weather Cambium will last forever. It's basically a plastic saddle.
You can wipe off water with your hand and keep your bum dry. It's
wonderful. You'll never have to replace it.

I want to start riding my bike to the beach, swim, ride home. It’s like a 10
mile round trip. I don’t want to bring/change clothes. My guess is the all
weather cambium would fit the bill, but would I be better off with a cheapo
throwaway that I can replace after the warm season?
I guess I’m as
I'm not really interested in spending $1650 for a complete because I have a
bunch of parts so would prefer not to spend that much for stuff I don't
need. The preorder for frames at Riv is sold out. There is only completes
available AND its only in blue. Chris offered one AND I contacted him.
There’s a badass one for sale on this list. There is or was a presale (options
all still look available on my browser), and Chris offered you dibs. I don’t
really get what’s going on here.

Just wanted to follow up that I ended up with a Arcteryx Atom LT Hoody and
I can't wait to wear it! Thanks for all of your suggestions and

I am in the market for a rain cape for commuting. I'd like to keep it well
under $100 if possible, and I'm in the Midwest so you never really know
what will be thrown at you. Any recs are welcome. I've been eyeing a
Cleverhood that I like a lot. I thought Campmor made an inexpensive one
but
If you don't find one used, consider Hilltrek in Scotland. Their double ventile
or cotton analogy are both excellent and waterproof. I can't remember if Riv's
offering was double, single, or a blend (double shoulder and arm?). Whatever it
was, Hilltrek has a parallel. I love their cotton analogy
Its funny you just posted this.I'm in Northern Illinois and with
the rain being daily and hard I was just shopping for a rain cape for
commuting. I was going to post a question here regarding that in a moment
(perhaps I just did, not to highjack your thread Mathew).

I need a rain coat. Here in Des Moines, IA, climate change is filling
basements with stormwater and I'm bad at remembering umbrellas. I loved the
RBW rain coats but didn't have resources at the right time. Does anyone
have one they have tired of? Medium is most likely if--like all things

So now it appears that even if I wanted to suck it up and get blue the 52
is not available in any color anymore. So I am still looking for someone
that has one used OR if anyone knows where I can grab just a frame. I had
a lead on a used one but it didn't work out. So who can help me? :)

Howdy,
Please let me know if you've got one to move along!
Thanks,

Thanks Johnny. Yeah, sticking with a complete sale rather than F/F/HS,
since I wouldn't have anything to use most of the parts for.
By the way: I mentioned on Craigslist but should have specified here that I
plan to keep the saddle, pedals, and bell. Also willing to knock $50 off
and keep the f
Thanks, Andrew! I love that you use past tense with the recovery. Grin. These

Ah, Patrick!Stunning photos, once again. Thank you for your efforts to take
them and share them. You obviously did lots of back and forth setting up the
tripod/camera/timer and then riding past. You've certainly nailed your
technique at that!I hope your headache recovery was swift. Cheers from
