I have a creamsicle Rambo, I'm thinking of selling. It's a 56 with STI shifters

The 63-66 angle is for 29ers and road bikes with more drop than say a
26" wheel mtb which would use the 66-69. If you look at all the Shimano
road FD specs they specify 61-66 CS angle. You must remember too that the
XT, even the trekking group are designed for the 50mm chainline of an

That wiggle room is usually pretty roomy, I'd mount the cranks first and see
how it goes. I bet your derailer will work.
