I’d take those cantis, pending some photos.

It looks amazing! I'm so glad the saddle worked out (and got there on

PS. Sorry to y'all that I got name-dropped. I offered the saddle in an

Hi, L. I'm going to rent a road bike so that I can get out there from Las
Vegas Cyclery. Then I plan to do I think it's about a 15 mile Loop.
Depending on how I'm feeling I might do it twice and then ride back to the
bike shop or I understand route 159 is very scenic?

Hey, that’s my backyard! Well, I’m maybe 40 minutes from there. What kind of

It’s time to get a new purse. The tan grabsack has been great, and it takes a

I'd guess that yours is within tolerances, though I don't recall ever
seeing my Lumotec flicker while climbing back when I had a Ram with SP.
Perhaps I'm just a fast climber. (Joke, amusement, for the purpose of.)

Seconded! This is a great deal on a very nice tandem. I have just about an
identical one, also sadly not getting much of any use. I cannot imagine
housing it in a kitchen, though - this is a lot of bicycle, even in a size
small. Someone buy it and get it rolling!

The twine is really nice! I used electric tape the color of Newbaums instead of
twine and it’s lasting into year 3. It is now much faded from this photo of
initial build.

I've found when you're twineing to bare metal the strength of hold is much
less, but with a layer of tape the twine has something to bite.

No response on the a trade. Willing to buy a set (one wheels worth) Paul

Will also consider buying a bikes worth. Will probably either live with the

Only flickers below certain speeds (maybe below 7mph?).
Usually when slowly going uphill the light dims, then if I hold my hand in

Normal riding speeds no flicker.

I feel like it would stay put pretty well if the ends are twined as in the
photos. The only issue I foresee are the edges; the adhesive doesn't go
completely from edge to edge, it stops a few millimeters before.

Does yours flicker at regular riding speeds, or just when below a certain
minimum speed? The first is normal and inevitable (wheel must spin a
minimum rpm to generate enough power for steady beam), the second would
seem to indicate a defect.

I put MKS Allways pedals on my new Roadeo, and I’m liking them better than
either the Thin Gripsters or the Grip Kings. Also really liking the look and
function of the 44/28 Rene Herse crankset. And of course the whole bike is a
marvel to ride.

My Legolas has DT cable stops instead of bosses like most steel frames. Weight
savings I guess? Anyway I’d really like some barrel adjusters to dial in

Anyone done this?

Yes, but don't forget, baseball cards used in Rivendell bicycles should predate
the 1980s. 1970s Oakland A's are preferable. (Honus Wagner cards would be the

Considering how many riders use blinking lights in my town the second or

And I say spin up because it never flickers at normal rolling speed, which,
