[RBW] New Dia Compe 610s on Redwood.

Nice to see a Redwood. The rarest of Rivs I think to hear of on the list. Nice pics. So why “back to 700c”? Switching from 650b? Any reason why? Sometimes I think about trying my bike with 700c again for fun. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owner

Looking good. I'm hoping to visit Rivendell soon, and think I'm going to pickup a set myself. I'm going to put them on my '83 Trek 520. I've had my old 610's in there in the past, but like how much nicer the new ones look, and also like the idea of smoother lighter action. Eamon Seattle -- Yo

Back to 700c for me, and added the new version of Dia Compe 610 brakes. I had an old set on before and the change in spring tension on the new version pairs up nicely with aero brake levers. Photos here: https://instagram.com/p/Bl1UFf_B0aT/ David River Grove, IL -- You received this message

Soma Cazadero come in 700x50, so they're close but not quite as big as what you're looking at. They'll fit your Clem just fine and handle great on loose stuff and gravel. They're also solid on pavement. They corner well which some nobbies don't, and the raised center means a pretty quiet ride

What I would be concerned about is offering less features like lugs. For me, Rivendells have always been well made and have nice lugs. However, I haven't been on the site in a while, but notice that some of the new frames are now TIG-welded or have very simple lugs?! Really?! That's like BMW
