Id like to see what the first run looked like if you care to post pics. I don't
think i have seen one before except in RReaders.
What year did you buy it? Interested to know how old an original is.
I think they didn't have the "2" decal on the ST. Is that right?

A rather late and more careful look at the VO site shows that the 700C
Noirs are available only up to 52 cm wide; not wide enough for me. So the
choice will be between the SKS B 65 and the VO Silver Fluted 63.
Therefore, remove the scratching question and answer the first, more
general question.

Bill, I’m interested in the orientation on the bikepacking bag. Will you run
the narrow end against the seat tube, with the bag flaring toward the head
tube? Just wondering if you anticipate any interference with your knees.

John, I did not lower the saddle anything like 3cm. Maybe half that. I
eyeballed the change, which probably came out to about a half-inch.

Great point, John. The closest analog to how to the foot works in cycling
is squats. I may try riding barefoot again with these pedals (though the
gaps are big, which may be problematic). For the last several years I've
been riding in Xero Z-Trek sandals, so I keep all pins in.

Hi,
Thanks Patrick & Jay for sharing your set up. Do you remember if you
needed to lower your saddles as much as the 2-3 cm's PI recommends? Less?
And Patrick, did you remove the pins so you could go barefoot?

the point. It’s a matter of applying the “lifting” force from more of the foot.

There are no bicycle tires made in the USA. There is no infrastructure or

To expand on my previous post: I don't track milage or mph or time. I just
ride. What I do notice is if I'm in a higher or lower gear on a given
section. A myriad of factors effect this, starting in greatest significance
with the state of the engine. Am I more tired and thus going slower with

Good advice, to carry fresh patch glue! Nothing quite like trying to patch

actually fit inside the patch kit? All the ones I’ve found that are sold
individually are larger (longer) than the
